Two occupants in the vehicle walked away from the wreckage, while one patient was transported to the hospital after the single-vehicle incident.

Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Clay Allred said at approximately 8:15 a.m., a gray Kia Soul heading southbound on I-15 traveled into the median “for unknown reasons” near mile marker 49, two miles south of Hamilton Fort.

“The vehicle went off the road to the left, overcorrected, then went off again on the right side and rolled,” he said.

Three passengers occupied the sport utility vehicle, yet only one patient was transported by ambulance “for non-life threatening injuries,” Allred said.

He added that the reason the driver initially left the road in the early morning rollover is still under investigation.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement officials and may not contain the full scope of findings.
