Oct. 12, 1978-Jan. 14, 2024

Adam Odekirk passed away peacefully on Jan. 14, 2024, at the age of 45. Adam was born on Oct. 12, 1978, to Mark Odekirk and Debi Odekirk, and stepson to Leanne Odekirk. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Adam lived in several cities in Utah before settling in Hurricane, Utah to raise his family. He first married Megan Gebur in 2001, and together they had their children Draven, Hailey and Caila. They divorced in 2006.

Adam married Anita Colby in 2010, and they had their son Silas. Together, Adam and Anita continued to raise their family in Hurricane, Utah. Ten years later in 2020 Adam’s divorced wife, Megan passed away leaving behind her two children Bailey Fowler and Bentley Gebur. Without any hesitation, Adam took them in and loved them as his own.

He loved his family more than anything. Adam loved to take his family up in the mountains to go explore, camping, fishing, hiking and so much more. Adams always said that the mountain was a very special place and there was nowhere more relaxing and comforting to be with his family in nature.

He also loved many sports, but his favorites were football, basketball and baseball. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers and the San Antonio Spurs, as he was their biggest fan. Adam also coached his son Draven’s Little League baseball team for a couple of years. He loved being involved; coaching and watching his kids play sports.

Adam loved his wife Anita more than anything. They were never apart and enjoyed spending all their time together. Adams always had a large sense of humor and always had jokes up his sleeve any second, he got the chance to say them. He kept everyone entertained by his jokes and it made his day to make people smile.

He also loved family history and learning more about his ancestors. He would do research daily and he loved sharing his findings with his family and friends.

Adam is survived by his wife Anita; children Draven, Hailey, Caila, Silas, Bailey and Bentley; sibling Cody; and stepmother Leanne. He was preceded in death by his father Mark, mother, Debi and siblings Darcy, Eric and Zach.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, at noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 274 South 100 West, Hurricane.
