Clark Beckstrom Church, age 87, passed from this life on Feb. 21, 2024, with family by his side. Clark was born Dec. 10, 1936, to Earl and Maude Beckstrom Church in St. George, Utah. He was the youngest of two children.
Clark lived in the St. George area all his life and was proud of his St. George heritage. He was an active member of the LDS church and served faithfully in all his callings. Clark was a compassionate, caring and forgiving person. He was always doing for others.
Clark had a love of printing which started at the age of 14 when he started working at the Washington County News. He left the news office to keep the books for Ashby & McQuaid, a local car dealership in St. George. He later purchased the dealership. In 1972, he sold the dealership and bought an insurance agency. He sold insurance until he retired.
Clark volunteered in the Westside Search and Rescue for 35 years. He served in all positions including commander for seen years. He was a Little League coach and took the local team to regionals in San Bernardino, California, where they took third place. He was awarded Volunteer of the Year.
He is survived by his children Lisa (Milan) Monk, Dennis Church, Leslee (Jerry) Thomas, Rachel (Danny) Bills; along with 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son David Vawdrey Church.
