This weekend, audiences have the opportunity to enjoy three shows that offer a little something for everyone. Whether you prefer stand-up comedy or country music, there’s no better time to visit Zion Canyon and spend an evening at the Bumbleberry Theater.
“We have the nicest theater in the area, and I’ve hand-selected all the talent in our lineup,” Bumbleberry Inn owner Stan Smith said. “May’s a beautiful time to come up to Springdale and enjoy the park and some great entertainment.”
On Thursday, May 16, get ready to laugh out loud at the comic stylings of Jordan Makin. Makin became notorious on “Dry Bar Comedy” for his beef with improv troupes and his love affair with fitness tracking devices. His first special, “The Big Fat Funny Ginger,” received millions of views online, and his second special, “Heckboy,” as well as his comedy album “Closed Concept,” are streaming now. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $15 per person.
On Friday, May 17, you’ll be grooving along with one of Southern Utah’s favorite local bands. The Relics are a group of four seasoned musicians entertaining audiences across the Southwest with an eclectic mix of classic rock, blues, soul and country. Having performed at breweries, lounges, festivals and corporate and private events, they’ve learned a great deal about supporting their community while remaining old, fragile and highly desired. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are free.
On Saturday, May 18, experience a nostalgic tour of country hits past and present with Casey Lofthouse. Enjoy an evening of some of the finest country music performed by Lofthouse, Southern Utah’s hometown country star. Lofthouse and his friends will entertain the audience with songs and stories that will leave everyone feeling good. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $15 per person.

“I have so many people wanting to play at the theater that I have to pick and choose the very best,” Smith said. “Every week’s going to have great entertainment. I’m excited as can be.”
Known for captivating performances and a cozy atmosphere, the Bumbleberry Theater is a premier concert venue in the heart of Springdale. Come early and enjoy dinner before the show at Porter’s, which offers all-day dining on American classics. The gift shop and bakery are stuffed with goodies, including the Smith family’s famous Bumbleberry Pie, which has delighted locals and visitors alike for decades.
The Bumbleberry Inn welcomes tourists from around the world as well as Southern Utahns looking for an unforgettable “staycation” experience.
