Dallas Demar Church, 89, passed away on March 18, 2024. He was born July 5, 1934, in Grass Valley, California to Fern Garfield and Dallas Church. He married his eternal companion Mary Jensen in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 27, 1955.

Dal was raised in Grass Valley, California, and Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from West High School and attended Westminster College. Dallas was a Fast Pitch Softball All-Star player and was inducted into the Utah Softball Hall of Fame in 2001. He served in the Utah Air National Guard from 1952-92 and honorably retired as a full bird colonel. After he retired from the UANG, Dallas and Mary moved to St. George, Utah, where he managed for ZCMI for 10 years. Once fully retired, you could find Dallas on the golf course, spending time with family/friends or working in his beautiful yard admiring the red rock views and the various birds that flocked his feeders.

Dallas is survived by his wife Mary Church of Ivins, Utah; daughters Korrie Katz (Brian), Karrie Richards (Mike), Kristie Archuleta (Dee), Wendie Huntington (Doug); 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters Marlene Jones (Jack) and Kenna Romano (Corby) and step-brother Don Horsley.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, stepfather Kenneth Horsley, half-brother Randy Horsley, stepsister Margaret Eastwood, stepbrother Rick Horsley, granddaughter Sierra Rose Huntington and great-grandsons Dallas Schouten and Kolter Hammond.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, at the Ivins 7th Ward located at 240 East 1060 South, Ivins, Utah. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral program at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at the Ivins City Cemetery located at 200 West 400 North Ivins.
