Scheduled for Saturday, April 20, at the Hash House A Go Go parking lot of Red Cliffs Mall, 1812 Red Cliffs Dr. in St. George, FuelFest offers an action-packed day of excitement, entertainment and heartfelt community spirit, according to a news release issued by Hearsee Mobility.

“FuelFest is not your typical fundraiser — it’s a unique blend of two exhilarating events rolled into one unforgettable experience,” the press release states.

Classic and luxury vehicles will be on display as car enthusiasts compete in a mobile dyno pull and horsepower competition.

But the excitement doesn’t end there — prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure.

FuelFest will feature 10 individual eating contests sponsored by St. George restaurants, including Riggatti’s Pizza, Berries N Cream, Porkbelly’s BBQ, Burger Theory, Houston TX Hot Chicken, Mary’s Cheesecakes, Twisted Noodle Cafe and Taco’s Plaza. Participants can test their eating prowess in timed or quantity-based challenges, devouring dishes ranging from pizzas to cheesecakes.

“We’re thrilled to introduce FuelFest to the Southern Utah community,” Susannah O’Brien, director of development at Hearsee Mobility, said in the news release. “This event is a celebration of our community’s passion for cars and food, all while supporting a meaningful cause. We’re excited to showcase the talents and resilience of our blind friends and neighbors and promote inclusivity within our community.”

Proceeds from FuelFest will benefit Hearsee Mobility’s mission to empower the blind through technology. Funds raised will support the purchase of smart walking canes and the installation of a direction and environment description service at the Utah Arts Academy, a charter school in St. George currently educating blind youth.

This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and independence for blind individuals, ensuring they have the tools they need to navigate their environment confidently.

FuelFest will offer entertainment for all ages, including live music, raffle prizes, food trucks and radio broadcasts. The event will also feature a demonstration of Hearsee’s environment description service for the blind, showcasing its practical application and impact on the visually impaired community.

FuelFest will take place April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with eating competitions scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and car competitions at 2 p.m. Pre-registration for the eating contests is encouraged to secure a spot.

FuelFest is made possible by the generous support of sponsors, including CCBank, InfoWest, Camping World, Jones Paint & Glass, Snow Jensen & Reece, Tech Ridge, and Safari Hospitality.
