FEATURE — Ready or not, eclipse season is here.
At 1 a.m. MDT on Monday, March 25, a full moon penumbral lunar eclipse in Libra will adorn the sky. The Venus-ruled sign of Libra, a sign of partnership and marriage, is symbolized by the scales of justice, representing its desire for harmony, balance and equality. Thus, a full moon in Libra highlights imbalances in relationships. But this isn’t just any full moon.
While full moons symbolize times of culmination, endings and emotional outbursts, lunar eclipses are believed to amplify this energy even more, creating circumstances to force needed outcomes.
Lunar eclipses activate the lunar nodes of the moon, known as points of karmic fate and destiny. The South Node shows what needs to be healed and left behind, while the North Node acts as a North Star, illuminating the needed pathway for the soul’s evolution. The South Node, which has been in Libra since last year, highlights issues of codependent behaviors or habits, such as self-abandonment, offering a time to let go of unhealthy attachments and revolutionize who we attract and how we show up in a relationship.
Think back to what was going on in your life six months ago when a solar eclipse in Libra occurred Oct. 14, 2023. Related themes are likely to re-emerge but now with the gift of revelations that offer insight into the patterns and dynamics that perpetuate cycles of suffering and disconnection. By identifying these repetitive behaviors, we empower ourselves to release them.
Whatever the eclipse prompts now will further manifest over the next six months.
So what does all of this mean for you? Find out below.

Further highlighting the overall energy, this lunar eclipse falls in your seventh house of partnership, dear Aries. Over the next six months, relationships are put to the test. If you’ve been feeling confined or that your boundaries have become blurred, circumstances may reach a boiling point and lead to a make-or-break moment. If an ending does result, remember that not all relationships are meant to last forever. And this ending is likely necessary to make room for a soul connection with someone else. For others, increased tension could become a catalyst for healing a romantic relationship, as you both decide to get to the root of the issues and commit to making beneficial changes. For those who are single, a special someone could walk into your life offering a potential for a long-term partnership and a chance for you to heal old wounds.
Taurus
April 20-May 20
With the lunar eclipse falling in your sixth house of work and health, your sensitivities for the underdog are highlighted now, dear Taurus. As a part of this, you may feel moved to help those who are struggling. This doesn’t mean that you should hand out your last dollar to help someone unable to pay a bill, but rather find a way to become engaged in an effort that will create a ripple effect in your community. Healing comes through taking a different approach with others with whom you may have had conflict in the past. For those who may be dealing with an ongoing health issue, you may find the right health practitioner now that leads you onto the right path.

This lunar eclipse lights up your fifth house of pleasure, dear Gemini. The fifth house rules romance, hobbies, creative self-expression and matters held close to the heart. As such, it may be that something happens now that causes a type of separation, such as a breakup with a romantic partner, but it won’t feel out of the blue and will be for the betterment of your overall growth and forward journey. Letting go of what no longer serves you opens space for something new to enter and restore a sense of joy. Perhaps you’ve fallen out of love with an old passion, which has caused your efforts to feel forced and out of alignment with who you are today. Letting go is not giving up; rather, it’s about trusting in the unfolding of life and allowing your heart to lead the way.
Cancer
June 21–July 22
As the only sign ruled by the moon, you are deeply affected by its transits and phases, dear Cancer. And this lunar eclipse falls in the house that rules Cancer, highlighting themes of family and home. Changes related to your domestic situation are likely. Perhaps home renovations are needed or a dynamic within your household needs to change. A move may be necessary in the next six months, and you may need to walk away from a place you’ve called home for some time. Because this relates to your sanctuary, what comes up now can stir feelings of instability. Sudden changes in your family could be on the horizon. Part of this may be letting go of certain behaviors you learned from family members that are impeding your growth. A need to break free from certain family members could be in store for some. You are learning to strengthen your inner resilience.
Leo
July 23–August 22
This lunar eclipse activates your third house of communication, perception and short-distance travel, dear Leo. Under this influence, you’re likely to experience major changes to your perspective in a beneficial way, freeing you from thoughts or beliefs that have been bringing you down or limiting what you believe to be possible. This eclipse also opens opportunities for you to heal mental struggles, such as anxiety or depression. With the moon’s trine to Pluto, you may feel as if you’re receiving psychological downloads or that your intuition is revved up. Trust in what shows up for you now and be sure to follow your gut. The third house also rules siblings and cousins, which means there could be a change on the horizon for one of your relatives.
Virgo
Aug. 23–Sept. 22
This lunar eclipse illuminates your second house of money and self-worth, dear Virgo, specifically in terms of your relationship with finances and your relationship with yourself. If you’ve been struggling with a lack of self-worth, circumstances may arise now that change the way you value yourself. Since this is a lunar influence, the change starts within by changing the way you perceive yourself and ceasing to chase external validation. When you value yourself, others value you in the same light. It’s time to let go of self-degrading thoughts and behaviors by turning your focus away from what you don’t like about yourself and acknowledging what you do like about yourself.

Part of this may be refining your appearance in a way that feels like a more authentic representation of who you know yourself to be. As you redefine yourself, your outlook on the world changes, and you are powerfully charged to go after what you truly want.
Scorpio
Oct. 23–Nov. 21
This lunar eclipse is occurring in your 12th house of the subconscious and connection to a higher power, dear Scorpio. As a sign already associated with psychic abilities, you may feel that you are simply sensing things before they happen. Dreams could feel more like premonitions and hold symbolic meaning. It would be beneficial to keep notes detailing what comes up for you and the feelings attached, as this will likely offer deeper insight into underlying subconscious patterns that need to be released. Or it could be that you are having to face the fact that you don’t relate to the same people you used to or your lives are drifting apart. But these potential endings open space for new friendships to develop. And it may be that over the next six months, you create associations with people who in the past wouldn’t have been on your radar. Your aspirations may also shift at this time. What used to be part of your end goal, may now become a hobby.

You see now how your sense of obligation to something has been misguided, where answers used to live now become spaces for inquiry.
Pisces
Feb. 19 – March 20
With this lunar eclipse happening in your eighth house, a powerful time of transformation has begun, dear Pisces. As the ruler of the birth-death cycle, the eighth house is often associated with the Phoenix rising from the ashes, the life that emerges from crisis. And over the next six months, you could experience a rebirth of the self that offers a greater sense of self-empowerment. This is a deeply psychological house that probes well beyond the superficial. You may feel as though you are receiving constant psychic downloads or messages from those deceased. Trust your instincts when it comes to other people, as you are likely to see their hidden motivations. Changes related to intimacy or shared resources also are likely now.
