ST. GEORGE — Hurricane residents have been asked to shelter in place.

The Hurricane Police Department sent out a reverse 911 call around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, asking residents in the area of 209 North and 3560 West in Hurricane to shelter in place while they work through an incident.

While the alert does not specify the details of the incident, authorities said they will send out an “all clear” message when the situation is resolved.

The Washington City Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office are also on the scene.
