According to a news release, the survey tallied votes from rodeo competitors belonging to the Wilderness Circuit, the rodeo region covering the majority of Utah, Idaho and Nevada.

The voting results, released on Jan. 25, ranked the Iron County Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Pro Rodeo third among rodeos in the state of Utah.

“We are honored to be so highly ranked among Utah’s rodeos; this means we’re doing something right in Iron County, and the cowboys who come here are appreciative of that,” Iron County Fair Director Jamilyn Evans said.

Iron County’s rodeo events take place during the annual Iron County Fair, which occurs each year over Labor Day weekend at the county fairgrounds in Parowan, the release states.

This year’s county fair and rodeo events are scheduled for Aug. 29 through Sept. 2. The Iron County Fair features three rodeos that take place Friday, Saturday and Monday during the fair.
