April 11, 1938-Jan. 25, 2024

Judy Rae Walker Caffall completed her mortal journey and passed away peacefully on Jan. 25, 2024.

Judy was born on April 11, 1938, in Ogden, Utah. She was the only and very cherished child born to Bruce Eldon Walker and Emma Bingham Leishman.

Judy attended Ben Lomand High School, graduating in 1956. She then moved to Logan to attend Utah State. Judy was on the honor society her first year with Alpha Lamba Delta.

In November 1958, she was married to her first husband, Richard Passey and began her employment with the IRS. Later becoming a senior tax examiner, where she had quite a few recognitions for outstanding performance.

Nov. 13, 1970, Judy married Don Caffall in Elko, Nevada. They traveled many places around the world, including touring the country in their motor home, then ultimately settled in St. George, Utah.

Judy was a true social butterfly, welcoming new visitors to her church and making sure they felt a part of the church family. She included others in luncheons and outings to local farmer’s markets or to the movies with a box of Junior Mints. She made it a point to include all and shared her warmth and love of Christ.

Judy was involved in many activities in Church, praying for those in need and lifting others as they endured their own trials in life.

Judy exemplified the art of patience and gratitude as she met and overcame challenges without complaint, including a difficult bought with cancer.

After Judy and Don retired, they lived in Swan Valley, Idaho. Judy served in her church and became friends with nearby neighbors as Don fished at the river near their cabin.

Judy has always loved animals, especially her dogs, but when she and Don adopted Tobi, their toy poodle, she knew her heart was complete. Tobi was her joy in life, after he passed she was never the same. To know she is reunited with him brings great comfort.

More important than the places Judy lived were the people she came to know and love from all around the world. The lifelong friends she made were important to her and deeply cherished.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Emma Walker, and her husband, Don.
