LaDonna Miller Maloney, 73, passed away Jan. 23, 2024, in St. George, Utah, after battling with liver and kidney failure. She was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Cedar City, Utah, to Raymond Leon Miller and Wanda Armstrong Miller.
LaDonna attended Hurricane High School, where she met George Jo Maloney. She married her high school sweetheart on Sept. 10, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in her sister Darlene’s home. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the St George, Utah Temple on Dec. 17, 1981.
LaDonna enjoyed serving in many church callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of her favorite callings were primary teacher, scout leader and ward librarian. Her most favorite church calling was serving as a visiting teacher with her mother in La Verkin.
Some of LaDonna’s biggest treasures were her grandchildren and her family. She always looked forward to spending time with them. LaDonna always had dogs and enjoyed every moment with them. She loved to crochet, color pictures, do puzzles and visit with dearest friends on the phone for hours at a time. She also loved when her favorite grand dog Sofey came to visit.
LaDonna is survived by her husband George Maloney and her sons Kerry Jo and Bryan Maloney (Lucy), her grandchildren Hayden Hurd (McKinley), Susan and Bryson Maloney and her sister Joy Stevens (Kenneth).
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Wanda Miller; sisters Darleen Reber, Jean Aitken, LaRue Hubele, Lorene Harrison; brothers John Rowley, Lamar Miller, Leon Miller, Darrel Miller; and granddaughter Paisley Maloney.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 26, at the LDS Chapel on 446 E Mangum Road, Washington, Utah, at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. at the chapel before the funeral service. Interment will take place in the Washington City Cemetery.
