Larry Mack Adams passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 11, 2024. He was born to Claude and Myrtle (Tullis) Adams in St George, Utah, on Nov. 3, 1934.
Larry graduated from Dixie High School in 1953. He married Marcia Rowe in the Salt Lake City Temple on Aug. 24, 1956.
Larry’s main and forever occupation was that of a farmer. Over his lifetime he acquired farmland in the Washington Fields. He found so much satisfaction in his crops and his cattle. He had several other entrepreneurial adventures along the way: He was a home builder, he built and owned the EZ shop (a convenience store in Washington City), he owned a garbage waste company, he ran a semi-trailer for a few years and developed a subdivision with his sons.
Larry really liked to create things and make things happen. You could say that he worked up to the day he died, minus the seven weeks that he was in bed right before he passed to the great beyond. Even during those weeks of being confined to his bed, he still wanted to know what was happening on the farm: Was the road being repaired? Was the hay being cut? These were just some of the questions he would ask.
Larry is survived by five children: Michelle Orton (Rod), Raul, Megan Spencer (Dan), Allison Benson (Mark), and Bryan (Heather); 27 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Jason, his grandson Jeremy Adams, his sisters Reba (Ronald) Bracken and Bonnie (Glen) Milne and his brothers Brant (Elva) and Blaine.
Interment was held in the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
