The celebration will commemorate both Legacy Village of St. George’s second anniversary and the 30th anniversary of Legacy Senior Living. The festivities, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 24, are open to the entire community.

“Our mission statement is ‘Serving you like family,’” Executive Director Jason Erickson said. “And we distinguish ourselves by embracing our personal touch culture that strives to make loving and meaningful connections with each other, our customers and our partners.”

Following the family theme, the anniversary event will include a barbecue, popcorn, cotton candy, carnival games and prizes, vendors, a bouncy house, a dunk tank and more. At 2 p.m., country music singer, author and speaker Eric Dodge will take the stage for a live performance.

“Starting from zero to get to where we are now has been a fun, exciting road for our independent living, our assisted living and our memory care residents,” Erickson said. “We have evolved with our residents to accommodate their wants and needs and we have been growing both as a Legacy team and as Legacy residents.”

“Living at Legacy Village means not having to worry about homeowner issues like irrigation problems, landscaping, weeds, AC filters, smoke alarm batteries or water leaks,” Legacy resident Georgia Johnson said. “I don’t have to think about what’s for dinner, shop for the ingredients, cook or clean up. I can participate in as many of the daily offered activities as I wish or none at all. Best of all, I’m surrounded by wonderful residents and caring, hard-working staff members. I love it.”

Assisted Living

Legacy Retirement Communities excel as leaders in assisted living services. Regardless of a resident’s life stage, they understand the significance of independence, dignity and choices. However, moments may arise when daily tasks, such as dressing, bathing, grooming or medication management require assistance. Legacy staff acknowledge these instances and are dedicated to offering the custom support needed to meet individual needs with care and respect.

Memory care

The Cottage, Legacy’s memory care community, has a staff of dedicated caregivers who receive professional training to provide specialized support for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and memory loss. With compassion and expertise, these caregivers offer assistance and supervision for daily activities including personal care, medication management and meals, ensuring residents receive the care they deserve.

The Cottage is more than just a care facility; it’s a nurturing and secure environment that brings peace of mind to both residents and their families. Each resident enjoys a private apartment with personal belongings and mementos, creating a cozy atmosphere that feels like home.
