Nov. 20, 1972

Noel Heather Boatright was born to Cathy and Dennis Boatright on Nov. 20, 1972, in Hollywood California. She was the third of six children. She graduated from Valley View High School and was always very proud of that accomplishment, as her childhood was chaotic with odds stacked against her.

She lived in San Bernardino County until 2001 when she moved to Northern Utah with her three children. She later moved to Southern Utah in 2005 to be closer to family. She married her husband Gary Russell Henderson on Aug. 8, 2008, at their home in Washington, Utah. Gary had five children of his own, to whom Noel proudly became a stepmother. She and Gary had two more children together.

Noel will always be remembered for her smile, bright eyes, love for her family, her handwritten words of encouragement that she’d hung around her home and of course, absolute adoration for every animal on Earth. Noel worked in several different fields of employment, but her favorites were always the jobs that she got to work with animals. She most recently became a dog groomer and loved every second of it. Being with animals is where she always felt the most peace.

We will always miss her and her sense of humor. We admire her strength in fighting the battles in life that she fought for so long.

Noel is preceded in death by her mother Cathy Westover Boatright and her sister Jennifer Boatright Keller. She is survived by her father Dennis Boatright; her husband Gary Russel Henderson. Her children Bradley Boatright-Olmos, Jessica (Boatright-Olmos) Stratton, Dylan Boatright, Sierra Boatright-Henderson and Ian Russel Henderson; her grandchildren Romeo, Dahlia, Daisy, Rowan and Devin; her step-children Felicity, Maurisa, Hanna, Jonathon and  Robert; her siblings Laura Boatright, Jim (Sara) Boatright, Julia Boatright, Josh (Michelle) Boatright and many nieces and nephews.

We want to thank everyone for their love and support and especially to those who supported Noel through her journeys of sobriety. She spoke so highly of the communities of AA and NA here in Southern Utah. Though she ultimately lost that battle we are forever grateful for the times we got to have our mom, grandma, sister and aunt clearheaded. We wouldn’t have been able to have those times without you all.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hughes Mortuary.
