Sharalleen “Leenie” Noelani Tufuga, age 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on Aug. 5, 2024, in Murray, Utah.

Leenie was born the third of seven children to Tuifao and Fogaa Tufuga in Payson, Utah, on Nov. 1, 1974. She was raised and grew up in Samoa and attended the LDS schools in Pesega and attended high school at the Church College of Western Samoa, Lynwood High in Lynwood, California, and Samoana High, Pago Pago, American Samoa, graduating in 1992.

Leenie was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered as a missionary in the California Los Angeles Mission from 1996 to 1998.

Leenie is known for her devotion to her family and loved ones, especially her daughter Penina Tupou. She also had a great love for all her friends. She was proud of her brave fight against cancer and lived life to the fullest by her own terms.

Leenie is preceded in death by her father Tuifao Tufuga. She is survived by her mother Fogaa Tufuga; daughter Penina Tupou; siblings Jonathan (Kelly, Sui, Tui), Pearl, Ben (Tracy, Leila, Liana, Adelia), Lee Fan (Kensie, Taiulu, Peniamina), Audrey (Ed, Paris, Anders) and Vina; and an unbreakable band of first cousins she considered her literal brothers and sisters; and all her nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life and services will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m. at the Manzanita LDS Chapel located at 3519 Manzanita Road, St George, Utah.
