March 23, 1941-March 17, 2024

Olga “Dolly” Alvillar passed away in her home on March 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.

God brought her into this world on March 23, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, where she was raised and married the love of her life Abel Alvillar on Aug. 18, 1956.

Together they created a beautiful family of eight children: Deborah, Abel Charles Jr. “Chuck”, Michael, Kenneth, Marty, Guido, Sharon and Karen, along with 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Dolly had a contagious laugh and a giving heart to her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her family watching movies, playing board games and laughing together while sharing memories of the years passed.

She was a devout Catholic who shared her love for her faith with her husband and children all of her life.

She is survived by her children Deborah, Kenneth, Sharon and Karen, her sister Pieri Anderson and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Abel Alvillar, sons Chuck, Michael, Marty and Guido; grandchildren Kenneth Jr., Zachary and Tayler; parents Guidetta Pieri Shields, father Raymond Davis, step-father Foster Shields and brother Robert “Bobby” Shields.

Dolly is now with our Father in H=heaven. She is healthy and free with her beautiful flowing red hair, dancing arm and arm with her husband Abel and celebrating the reunion of her loved ones passed.

There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
