At approximately 7:03 p.m., the Washington City Police Department received reports of shots fired at 1039 East Chinook Dr., police Lt. Kory Klotz told St. George News at the scene. When officers arrived, they entered the residence as the door was open.
“They did find two deceased victims — both adults, one female, one male,” he said. “As they cleared the rest of the residence, they found evidence of a homicide.”
There was no suspect on the scene, but through their investigation, police identified Collin Bailey as a suspect. Bailey is transitioning to female and reportedly goes by Mia Bailey, Klotz said.
She is a 28-year-old woman, stands 5-foot, 10 inches tall and is 130 pounds. She has hazel eyes and brown hair. She wears wigs, so her hair could be long or short. Klotz said Bailey was last seen leaving the area in a mustard-colored 2014 Kia Soul with a Utah license plate that reads “U069GF.”
“Her whereabouts are unknown,” he added. “(Her) last known location was on Washington Dam Road and Washington Fields Road. She is considered armed and dangerous.”

Klotz said those who see Bailey or her car should not approach as she may have a small-caliber handgun on her person.
“Again, we can’t stress enough that we want to keep the public safe and make sure that they do not approach her and contact us at this point,” he said. “There is no threat to any other public that we are aware of, but again, please just do not approach the vehicle or Mia.”
Those who have information about Bailey’s whereabouts should contact the police at 435-986-1515.
This is a developing story.
