CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Red Rock Companies was founded on ethics, hard work and family support, values that align perfectly with their role as a partner of Make-A-Wish Utah. Red Rock Companies, which consists of Red Rock Real Estate, Red Rock Property Management and Red Rock Vacation Rentals, is on a mission to make dreams come true for kids facing the toughest fight of their lives, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon.

At the beginning of the year, Red Rock announced their partnership with Make-A-Wish Utah and set a goal of raising $60,000 to help grant 10 wishes. With the tireless dedication and generous support of their agents, employees and local business partners, they ended up collecting $66,000 and funding a total of 11 wishes.

“I want to thank Katherine Chipman and all her efforts for heading this up on behalf of Red Rock,” Red Rock Companies CEO Adam Legg said. “I also want to thank all of our agents who participated, our employees for everything they did, and our partners for jumping in and helping us not only reach, but surpass, the lofty goal we set.”

All of Red Rock’s 60 employees participated in the process of granting wishes, Legg said, and many of their agents made donations to the cause. Several agents, including Tammie Richeson, Jeremy Back, Jessica Orvin, Chris Warhurst, Peggy Cole, Mike Welker, Jill Paulsen, Morgan Oaks and Jordan Hafen, made donations toward granting entire wishes. Red Rock hosted wish proclamation events, personalized parties where the recipient learns their wish has been granted, for four local kids.

The first wish granted with Red Rock’s support in 2023 was a trip to Disney World for Zion, a 4-year-old boy battling leukemia, and his family. His favorite superheroes, Captain America and Spider-Man, made the announcement during the Red Rock and Make-A-Wish partnership launch party on March 8.

Next, Red Rock hosted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-themed wish proclamation party at a vacation rental home in Desert Color on June 29. The recipient was 3-year-old Cashdyn, who’s currently facing his second bout with cancer and wanted to visit Disney World.

Red Rock also partnered with Nets on Fire, a local nonprofit youth basketball organization, which granted a wish for Addilynn, a 7-year-old girl battling cystic fibrosis. On Oct. 18, Nets on Fire hosted a wish proclamation party, which was themed like a carnival, to announce that her wish to visit Disney World was coming true.

On Oct. 24, Red Rock agents Jill Paulsen, Morgan Oaks, Brayden Oaks, Jordan Hafen and Jason J. Baum hosted a wish proclamation for Harlow, a 6-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis. Her wish to visit Disney World was granted by her favorite Disney princess, Belle.

“Each of these proclamations was an amazing experience in and of itself,” Legg said. “This is such a rewarding cause, and to actually be able to take part in granting wishes has been one of the most emotional experiences our team has ever been a part of.”

“Red Rock and their team have given their heart, soul and valuable resources to create hope for kids when they need it most. Witnessing the time and effort they dedicate to planning amazing wish events and fundraisers has been inspiring and incredibly impactful,” Make-A-Wish Utah CEO Daniel Dudley said. “Make-A-Wish Utah granted more wishes than ever because of Red Rock and their generous partners. We can’t wait to reach even more brave children in 2024.”

“Our team really enjoyed this experience,” Red Rock Companies Executive Assistant Katherine Chipman said. “They greatly appreciated having the opportunity to participate and found it very meaningful.”

And Red Rock is just getting started. They plan to raise the bar even higher in 2024 by recruiting more partners and funding more wishes for deserving kids in the community.

Red Rock has joined forces with Eagle Gate Title to launch Real Estate for Wishes in 2024. Real Estate for Wishes will be an opportunity for everyone in Southern Utah’s real estate community, from builders and lenders to title companies and agents, to get involved. All donations will go to Make-A-Wish Utah to help make more dreams come true for local children.

“We hope to reach a new goal that’s above and beyond the amount we raised this year,” Legg said.
