GRAND CANYON, Ariz – Heritage Days will return to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park Friday-Sunday, Aug. 2-4, Each day, Heritage Days programs and demonstrations will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. throughout the North Rim developed area.

According to a National Park Service news release, a special celebratory kick-off event will occur at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, at the North Rim Lodge.

eritage Days provide visitors and staff with the opportunity to experience and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the Colorado Plateau, Arizona Strip,and the Grand Canyon area.

Throughout Heritage Days, members from Associated Tribes will offer special programming and demonstrations, ranging from music and dance performances to presentations on their connections to the Grand Canyon.

This year representatives from the Hopi Tribe, Pueblo of Zuni, and Diné (Navajo Nation), as well as San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, and Kaivavich (Kaibab) Band of Paiute Indians will participate. Additionally, rangers from both Grand Canyon National Park and Pipe Spring National Monument will be attending.
