Richard L. (Rick) Gardon, 76, passed away on July 2, 2024, in Ovation Sienna Hills.
St. George, Utah, was his home the past eight years, prior to that San Ramon, California, was his home for 38 years. He was born on July 25, 1947, in Canton, Ohio, to Robert and Mable Gardon. He was married to Roberta Timmons Gardon for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife Roberta Gardon; his children Monica Shepherd, Terrytown, New Yori; Lisa Wagner, McKinney, Texas; and Mark Blackburn, Scottsdale, Arizona; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his sister Roberta Meechan, Cape Coral, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mable Gardon of Canton, Ohio.
He was a 1965 graduate of Timken High School, Canton, Ohio and proudly served as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He spent his entire career in the real estate and mortgage industry. Prior to his retirement in 2014, he owned his own financial service company. He enjoyed street rods; he rebuilt a 1934 Ford Coupe and was a member of the Danville Dukes Car Club, in Danville California.
Military services will be held in September at the Sun River Veterans Park, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Reflections Community Center, St. George, Utah.
