March 11, 1978 – Feb. 26, 2024
Scott was born in Vernon Parish, Louisiana on March 11, 1978. He passed away in St. George on Feb. 26, 2024. He spent most of his life in Michigan, growing up in the Lansing area.
While growing up he loved fishing, going on adventures, and hanging out with family. He moved to Mesquite, Nevada later in life and worked for Walmart since 2015. He was a dedicated employee and close with many co-workers.
Scott loved cooking and smoking meat. A couple nights a week he and his sister sat down for one of his home cooked meals to catch up on life. He was an avid gamer and his sisters called him a “techie”. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains and desert on his side-by-side. Scott was a die hard Detroit Lions fan that didn’t shy away from “defending the den.”
Scott loved his parents and siblings and cherished his sidekick Bruno. Selfless love is the ability to show respect, kindness and compassion toward everyone and not expect anything in return. Scott was the true definition of this in life and in his passing.
As we mourn Scott’s passing, many people have received the gift of hope thanks to Scott’s organ donations. It’s always a beautiful day when selfless love touches you.
Scott leaves behind his mother, Anna (Bill) Smith, father, Charles (Kimberly) Gregory, sisters Michelle Gregory, Jessica Gregory, Angela (Matthew) Fox and brother-in-law Lance Mattson, along with many nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts who will miss him dearly.
Funeral service details will be listed on the McArthur Funeral Home website at a later date.
