July 21, 1984-Jan. 2, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved son, father and  brother Tyson Gillespie.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 2, 2024.

He was born in St. George, Utah, on July 21, 1984, to Jerry and Pamela Read Gillespie. Tyson lived most of his life in Ivins, Utah.

Tyson lived on the edge of town and grew up with plenty of room to roam the area. He would climb the Red Hill, ride horses, play and feed the chickens and drive go-carts. He enjoyed baseball, soccer and the Boy Scouts. He attended Snow Canyon High School.

He married Billyjo Jergins in 2005 and they had one son Kayleb. Tyson loved his son dearly. Tyson and Billyjo later divorced.

Tyson worked for two concrete cutting companies, a traffic control company and in construction this last year with his dad.

He was very talented and creative. He had many skills. Anything he set his mind to he could accomplish. He loved welding, electrical and construction work and working in his garage on projects. He loved to fix up his cars and trucks and was willing to help others with theirs. He loved to ride his motorcycle around the area.

Tyson died way too soon and way too young.

Tyson is preceded in death by Ryan J Gillespie, his brother.

Survivors include his parents Jerry and Pamela Read Gillespie, sisters Stephanie Hunt, Angela Joy, Crystal Sullivan, Natalie Bender and Rochelle Cooley and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hughes Mortuary.
