CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — It’s time to come “Gnome for the Holidays” at Red Cliffs. Find the traveling Christmas gnome and snap a selfie with him for a chance to win exciting prizes from now until Christmas.

“The story behind Gnome for the Holidays is that gnomes are kinda sick of elves getting all the credit when it’s actually gnomes that do all the work for Christmas,” general manager Cory Ashby said. “So Clifford, the head gnome at Red Cliffs, is giving away weekly prizes to make sure the community knows that gnomes are just as generous, too.”
Although he’s busy preparing for Christmas at night, Clifford freezes during the day and takes up residence inside one of the retail stores at Red Cliffs. He stands about 3 1/2 feet tall and will be sporting a bright red color scheme that’s hard to miss.
Each week, Red Cliffs will share his location on social media and invite shoppers to visit the mall and take a selfie with him to post on Facebook and/or Instagram. Participants must like or follow Red Cliffs on either social network and tag the mall in their post with Clifford to be eligible to win.
A new winner will be randomly selected and announced every Monday in December. Each winner receives $250 in gift cards for various Red Cliffs retail stores. On the final Monday, the grand prize winner will be revealed and receive $750 worth of gift cards and prizes.
While searching for the perfect presents to put under your tree this year, discover the brands and explore the flavors of St. George’s largest retail destination. Enjoy a bite to eat at The Terrace, a new outdoor area surrounded by great shopping and great food, which opened earlier this year.

“We really wanted to create a place where people can come and hang out, make it user-friendly,” Ashby said.
Red Cliffs also offers plenty of places to satisfy your sweet tooth while you shop with holiday treats from Totally Nutz, See’s Candies, WannaCinn, Hickory Farms and more. Plus, bring the little ones to experience a dusting of magic with winter princess singalongs on Dec. 6, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, all starting at 6 p.m.
Red Cliffs has been Southern Utah’s premier retail destination since opening in 1990. As the only major indoor shopping center between Las Vegas and the Wasatch Front, it features more than 60 stores and nearly 450,000 square feet of retail space.
The Terrace is the centerpiece of an ongoing rejuvenation project that aligns the mall’s offerings with what today’s customers want and need. That includes even more shopping and dining options, like the Al’s Sporting Goods, Tillys, WannaCinn and Kaiseki Sushi locations that opened earlier this year.
“We always have something going on,” Ashby said. “Red Cliffs is the community’s place to shop, eat and play. It’s the place to be.”
