Connie Jean Llewellyn returned to her Father in Heaven on Nov. 21, 2023. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1950, to LaMar Sutherland and Erna Sevy (Black).
She was preceded in death by her parents and mother and fathers-in-law, her beloved cousin Sharon, brothers-in-law John Sydall and Gary Llewellyn, sisters-in-law Vickie Llewellyn Poff and Ivalee Llewellyn Byington and nephews Little John Sydall, Little Joe Sydall, Buddy Poff and Niece Tina Sydall.
She married Lyn Llewellyn, the love of his life, on Oct. 9, 1970.
Connie had many cherished friends and devoted family members who held a deep affection for her. She personified unwavering determination, resilience and extraordinary courage. Family held the utmost significance in her life. When confronted with challenges, she emerged with strength, love and selflessness. Her affection for her special Olympic family, whom she endearingly referred to as her “angels,” was evident to all. It was widely known that Hawaii held a special place in her heart, making it her favorite destination.
She is survived by her loving husband Lyn Llewellyn, children Misty Jaques (Randy), Shawn Llewellyn, Tracy Llewellyn; grandchildren Brittani Clarkson (Chris), Cody Mott and Brayden Mott; sisters Diana Roberts (Gary), Karen Sydall and Joyce Bonner (Rick) and Dee Sutherland; sisters-in-law Pat Atkinson (Gail), Gay Smith (Joe), brothers-in-law Jon Llewellyn, Lee Llewellyn (Linda) and Sandy Llewellyn (Louise).
The family would like to thank the staff at Spring Gardens and Advanced Hospice and the many volunteers for their loving care of Connie.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Dec. 1, at the LDS Chapel on 70 S. 300 W., La Verkin, Utah. The viewing will be held from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow at the La Verkin Cemetery.
