Debra (Debi) Jeane Taylor, age 81, passed away Jan. 30, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1942, in Junction, Texas, to Gilford Stuart Eveans and Nora Alice Morgan Eveans. She married Roger Gene Taylor, March 5, 1965, in Farmington, New Mexico.

Debi was raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and met Roger in Waterflow, New Mexico. Roger went to work for the Bureau of Land Management, so they moved often, living in Salmon, Idaho; Roswell, New Mexico; Socorro, New Mexico; Kingman, Arizona; Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; St. George, Utah; and finally Hurricane, Utah. 

Debi was a loving and devoted wife and mother, taking care of her family until she became an office manager at the Mohave County Mental Health Clinic in Kingman, Arizona. When she and Roger moved to Maryland, she went to work as a staff member for Sen. John Glenn. Upon moving to Utah, Debi worked for Washington County from which she retired. Debi loved to read, paint, sing, and make people laugh. but mostly she loved to study her bible and talk about the Lord. She loved people and lived for God, bringing as many people to Christ as she could. Debi always saw the good in people wherever she went. She never met a stranger.

Debi was survived by her husband Roger, living in Hurricane Utah; her children Leesa Askin of Hurricane, Utah; Kenny and Edie Lamphere of Livingston, Texas; Tim and Justina Taylor of Hurricane, Utah; her grandchildren, Kayla Roundy of Gunnison, Utah; Chelsea and Jordan Hepworth of Guam, USA; Alexander Parker of Auburn, California; Braden Taylor of Hurricane, Utah; and her sister-in-law, Verna Joy Eveans of Highland Haven, Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Nora and Stuart Eveans, her brother Kerry Eveans, her son Adam Taylor and her son-in-law, Jack Askin.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, Febg. 9, at 11 a.m., at the Spilsbury Funeral Home at 110 S Bluff St., St. George, Utah 84770.  

Interment will take place at Hurricane Cemetery, 225 E 600 N, Hurricane Utah, immediately after the service.

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care given by all the healthcare workers at Intermountain Health of St. George and Hurricane as well as Sun Tree Home Health and Hospice of St. George.
