July 1938-Feb. 4, 2024

Dennis Womack, 85 years old, passed from this mortal realm on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024. He was born on July 11, 1938, to his parents Royal and Lucile Womack in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He married the love of his life Clydene Garrett on Oct. 7, 1958, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Dad was raised in Ashton, Idaho, the gateway to Yellowstone National Park. He worked on his grandfather’s farm, picking spuds for other area farmers, as well as any other jobs his dad could drum up. He graduated from North Fremont High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Our family lived all over the United States and even served a stint in the military in Munich, Germany. He was an electrician by trade but could build, fix or repair anything. He loved keeping a beautiful yard. He was fascinated by the ancient Native American culture, spending any spare moment searching for petroglyphs and pictographs. He was a worshipper of Willie Nelson. He hated vegetables but loved eating string cheese, crackers, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and drinking V-8 juice.

The love of Dennis’ life, Clydene, passed away in 2013 and left a huge hole in his heart. He is survived by two brothers and one sister Brent and Roseann Womack, Logan, Utah, Keith and Merla Womack, Malad, Idaho, and Linda and Lee McDonald, North Ogden, Utah. He is survived by one son and daughter Jerry and Tracy Womack, Enoch, Utah and Kathy and Randy Arnold, Green River, Utah. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Corey, her husband Kevin and many other loved ones. A whole array of grand and great-grandchildren also survives him. He loved them all.

At Dad’s request, there will not be a formal service. A small, private memorial will be held at a later date, time and place yet to be decided.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charities. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Cedar City Hospital, especially the ICU staff for the tender and loving care shown to Dad and the rest of the family.
