Donald Leslie Clawson, 84, died in his home in St. George, Utah, on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024. He was born in Modesto, California in 1939 to Fred L. Clawson and Roma H. Dotson-Clawson. On Oct. 26, 1968, he married his love, M. Rochelle Burr, in the Oakland California Temple.
Don was loved by many as a son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Sandra Johnston and Larry Clawson.
He is survived by his siblings, Les Clawson, Dave Clawson and Nancy Clawson; his 12 children, Angela, Troy, Candice, Jared, Shelleen, April, Melodee, Todd, Linzie, Chad, Dallan and Deric; 42 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W St. George Blvd, St. George.
A viewing will be held Wednesday prior to services, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the mortuary. The interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S Dixie Dr., St. George.
