Elaine Hammon was born on Oct. 19, 1995, to Jedd W. Hammon and Rhoda Marie Harker. She was the sixth of nine children. She grew up in a large family among her siblings and went to school.
Elaine attended the Centennial Academy and graduated in 2014. Soon after, she was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension which led to a double lung transplant in 2020. After that, she suffered many complications that led to numerous hospitalizations. Surrounded by her loving family, she passed away at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Oct. 26, 2023.
Elaine loved the simple things of life, and her happiest times were spent with babies and little children. She loved being with her brothers and sisters and family members. Her family was the most important thing to her. She was a beautiful and sweet spirit, always encouraging with her positive outlook on life. Her bright countenance and radiant smile will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Elaine is preceded in death by her older brother Lee. She is survived by her father and mothers, many brothers and sisters and numerous friends.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 5-8 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 5, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., at the Jedd W. Hammon Home, 620 West Taylor Ave., Centennial Park, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m., at the Centennial Park Chapel, Centennial Park, Arizona.
Interment will take place at the Hammon Family Cemetery, 335 Hammon St., Centennial Park, Arizona.
