Harold Clifford Goldthorpe, Jr., 91, passed away Nov. 30, 2023. Born June 14, 1932, Harold was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. The son of Harold C. Goldthorpe, Sr. and Wanda Pauline Orlofske (Goldthorpe), Harold attended East High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, the late Laura Ann Davis (Goldthorpe). Soon afterward, he left for Germany to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Harold’s early career was in the clothing industry including ZCMI, Castleton’s and Mac’s Clothing Tree. Later, he served for several years as general manager of Beehive Clothing Mills. After retiring 36 years ago, he and his wife settled in the St. George area, a place they loved, eventually to be joined by three of their five children. His greatest joy was always to be surrounded by his family. He is survived by his five children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A private service will be held by his family.
