Solenté is being developed by GWC Capital and Blue Diamond Capital, the same group that brought Desert Color to St. George. Solenté is situated north of Exit 13 on I-15 in Washington City. The neighborhood’s proximity to the Green Springs area offers convenient access to services, yet it is secluded among the red rock hills, providing the solitude and privacy expected of a high-end, highly amenitized community.

“Life in Solenté is elevated, exceptional and effortless,” said Mitch Dansie, Vice President of Operations for GWC Capital. “It will be a true experience from the moment you find your lot to the moment you move into your new custom home.”

The 570-acre community will encompass 2,200 residential units including custom estate homes, townhomes, condominiums, resort villas and casitas, as well as commercial products. Another unique feature of Solenté is access to popular trailheads for hiking, biking and horseback riding that showcase the absolute best of high desert living.

Representatives from GWC Capital, the Washington City Council, the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce and the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as state legislators and local realtors, gathered near the intersection of Main Street and the Washington Parkway for a groundbreaking ceremony on Nov. 28, 2023. As the clamor of earth-moving equipment filled the background, the project’s visionaries dug shovels into the rich red soil and celebrated the genesis of an unforgettable development.

“We feel very fortunate to have this parcel of land that has things you can’t find elsewhere,” said Ryan Coates, Area Manager of Business Services for GWC Capital. “It’s definitely an elevated experience with amenities for people both living in the community and outside to enjoy.”

Solenté was officially introduced to the public on Jan. 11 at the 2024 What’s Up Down South summit, as attendees were shown a video highlighting what the luxury, gated community will offer. In a recorded video featuring Washington City Mayor Kress Staheli, he expressed his excitement about Solenté bringing something to Southern Utah that doesn’t currently exist here. Solenté is poised to feature a variety of amenities and club components uniquely tailored for each segment of the development.

As construction progresses, the existing Millcreek Trailhead, Dino Cliffs Trailhead and Grapevine Trailhead will be completely revamped to offer parking, water stations, bicycle repair tools and more. Preserving the trails while also enhancing public access has been a collaborative effort between GWC Capital, Washington City and the Utah Trust Lands Administration. During construction, the trails will still be open for public use but alternate access routes will be added as needed to ensure safe access for the public.

“We’re really excited about the trails,” Dansie said at the Solenté groundbreaking ceremony. “The way we’re incorporating open space into our community is unmatched.”

Custom-built estate lots in Solenté Phase 1 are currently available for reservation through The Solenté Group. This designated real estate sales team is led by Allen Holland, President of Red Rock Real Estate.

“We’re not just selling to developers, we’re also selling to individuals,” Holland said. “They can bring their own builder to Solenté and create something from dirt to finish.”

Set against the hilltops, red cliffs and sheer sandstone walls of the high desert, Solenté is the place where all things come together in simple, convenient and elegant ways, resulting in a premium experience of personalized comfort. Curated opportunities and concierge services await residents and guests of this exclusive, gated neighborhood which is surrounded by natural amenities that will enliven, invigorate and inspire.
