CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Mesquite Gaming announced this week that Michael Carlotti has been named chief financial officer of the company. Effective immediately, Carlotti will oversee the financial actions of Mesquite Gaming and their properties located in Mesquite: the CasaBlanca Resort & Casino and Virgin River Hotel & Casino.

“Michael is a seasoned financial executive that brings 29 valuable years of industry leadership experience to us,” said Justin Moore, CEO of Mesquite Gaming. “He’s going to play a key role in strategizing and implementing fiscal decisions during this important growth phase of our operations.”

Carlotti possesses extensive knowledge of investment banking, investment management and corporate finance. Following 13 years working in management positions with some of the nation’s top investment banking firms, he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2008 to join Bally Technologies as vice president of investor relations and treasury. He transitioned to vice president and treasurer for Scientific Games when it acquired Bally Technologies in 2014.

In 2016, Carlotti joined MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas as senior vice president and treasurer. In 2018, he joined Australis Capital in Las Vegas as CFO and executive vice president, and in 2020 joined Curaleaf in Las Vegas as its CFO and treasurer. From 2020 to 2022, he was the CFO for ECL Entertainment, an owner and operator of historical horse racing gaming facilities in Kentucky. Carlotti has his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles and his bachelor’s of science in finance from Boston College.
