Our beloved Phil passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Jan. 7, 2024.
Phillip Carson Coe Abrahamson was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on Aug. 10, 1934, to Ora Leo Abrahamson and Sarah Romaine Sheldon.
Phil joined the United States Air Force and served for four years, then served another 30 in the Air Force Reserves. He was also employed with the Federal Aviation Administration for 34 years until his retirement in 1990. After his retirement, Phil and Martha moved to St George, Utah, to be near the Temple, and serve in the house of the Lord. Phil and Martha were a loyal and steadfast couple until her passing one week before his on Dec. 30, 2023.
Because of his love of cars, Phil worked for St George Ford for 25 years, driving cars across the country. He loved his family so much and would give whenever anyone was in need. He was a fine example of Christ-like love. Phil enjoyed his last days spending time with his loved ones, and his beloved dog Lottie. They were blessed with four children, Michael Aldridge (Camie) Diana Gibbs (Bruce) Mark Aldridge, Marnie Abrahamson (Micheal Lizotte) and preceded in death by David Cleveland Aldridge, and Micheal Aldridge Jr. Phil and Martha were also blessed with many grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.
We would like to offer much gratitude to the family members who helped during these last difficult days, and a huge thanks to Canyon Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful service to Phil and Martha. We are truly humbled.
