ST. GEORGE — Significant weekend snowfall across Southern Utah — but not right in St. George — resulted in snowy scenes in neighborhood backyards, rural areas and across several townships throughout the region.
Heavy snow fell in the southern mountains and north of St. George, but lower Washington County residents witnessed everything from no precipitation at all to flurries to an occasional snow shower.
Throughout the weekend, the National Weather Service issued and updated a Winter Weather Advisory that runs through 11 p.m. Sunday, as well as a Wind Chill Advisory that is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday.
Response to the St. George News/Cedar City News Facebook roll call for weather-related photos was overwhelming, and we thank everyone who submitted images. The photo gallery below contains a sampling of what readers enthusiastically shared throughout the day on Sunday.
