Robert Glen Ripple, 74, passed away Oct. 31, 2023, in St. George Utah. He was born June 6, 1949, in Provo, Utah, graduated from Provo High, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from BYU, served as a missionary in the Cumorah Mission, New York, was ward clerk for several bishoprics in his church and was a beloved scoutmaster. Special qualities were Robert’s dry sense of humor and gentle laugh. He would note the comical aspect of passing on Halloween.

A CPA, Robert worked with Kennedy Association and Franklin Covey; he was manager for Barney Trucking and drove a bus route for SunTran with the city of St. George. He enjoyed golfing as well as hiking in the canyonlands of Southern Utah.

He was preceded in death by his father Glen Ripple, mother Naomi (Walter) Farrer, sister Jessie (Dave) Nuttall and sister Suzette (Carl) Arnoldus. Robert is survived by his children, Jonathan “Rip” (Casey) Ripple, Braden (Anne Clark) Ripple, Shannon (Joe) DuBois, Kristin (Jeff) Baird, Kaelie (Toby Pontius) Ripple, ex-wife Valrie (Grant) Jensen, and 10 grandchildren.

A family Celebration of Life will be held in 2024 to spread Robert’s ashes in Zion National Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of choice or to the Zion National Park Forever Project (youth education/outreach programs, etc.), ZionPark.org.
