Things are developing quickly at the newly built CP Plaza, located at 1255 W. Sunset Blvd. In the near future, this building will welcome the delicious coffee blends and homemade pastries of Jade’s Cafe as well as Nomad Soul Interiors, which offers luxury furniture and home décor. Both businesses already have successful locations along the Wasatch Front.

CP Plaza also will be the new home of the China Palace, a popular eatery that was forced to close after a tragic fire at their Bluff Street location last year. The restaurant has been serving Southern Utah customers since 1994.

The entire west side of St. George continues to witness rapid retail expansion. Crave Cookies will be coming to Sunset Corner, Culver’s is opening an additional location across the street from the new Summit Athletic Club and The Orange Peel is adding another store at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Country Lane.

“There’s a lot of growth over here and we’re really excited about it,” Callister said. “St. George has long been the Palm Springs of Salt Lake City, but now we’re starting to realize that we’re a force to be reckoned with and we’re our own city. All this retail growth has been key to that.”
