Charles “Chuck” Harvey Brill passed away in his home on Nov. 19, 2023, in St. George, Utah, at the age of 84, with his loving wife by his side.
Chuck was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 20, 1939, to Wilma Gladys Only and Harvey Henry Brill. At 16, Chuck helped raise his siblings and provided for his family after his father passed away. Chuck worked three jobs and went to an apprentice school for welding/mechanical skills. Chuck was an entrepreneur and always provided for his family.
Chuck met Jackie at a New Year’s Eve party when he asked her to dance. They dated for a year, then married in Lake Tahoe on May 14, 1966, and then later Sealed in the Los Angeles Temple on March 6th, 1971. Chuck had a son from a previous marriage, Jackie had two sons from a previous marriage, and then they had one son together. They raised their family of boys in California while Chuck worked for Kaiser Steel and ran many small businesses and his pool service.
Chuck was very dedicated, and whatever he started, he would finish. He hated being late and would always show up early. Chuck always loved a good joke, all the dogs that he owned, his mayo and peanut butter sandwiches, Ford trucks and would settle in at night with a good western movie.
Chuck retired and then moved to Utah with Jackie. Chuck was a very devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved being able to serve in many callings alongside his wife. Chuck loved his family and wife very much. He would always sing to Jackie, “You are so Beautiful,” while she would get ready in the morning.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother (Wilma), father (Harvey), sister (Ann), brother (Don) and swon (Chuck). He is survived by his wife (Jackie), sons (Michael, Wesley and Randy), grandchildren (Matt, Ashley, Cortney, Maddalyn and Hannah) and great-grandchildren (Luke, Wyatt and Cooper).
